PIXI SKIN TREATS | GLOW MUD CLEANSER, OVERNIGHT GLOW SERUM, & GLOW TONIC

Pixi Beauty has been a part of my skincare routine for the past few months, and I'm super grateful to Pixi for allowing me to continue to try out their various products and share my thoughts with all of you! A couple months ago they sent me their Glow Mud Cleanser, Overnight Glow Serum, and the Glow Tonic To-Go Pads to try out, and while this is long overdue, I always like to have the time to try products out before I post about them.

GLOW MUD CLEANSER ($24 CAD)

The Glow Mud Cleanser is a cleanser that can be used in the morning or night. It gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it with a radiant finish. The mud deep cleans, while the 5% glycolic acid enhances the skin's complexion.

It makes your face feel clean and refreshed without drying it out. The scent is not over-powering at all and is very light and clean. In terms of texture, it comes out in a paste form and at first looks a bit like clay. Since it is a mud cleanser, it doesn't foam up but rather, forms a milky mixture when mixed with water. I've read that sensitive skin people swear by this cleanser, but it's fantastic for all types of skin.

I like using this cleanser a lot, but I'm going to be honest, at its given price point, I don't see that dramatic of a difference to say that I will re-purchase. At $24 CAD, it's definitely on the steep end for a drugstore cleanser, but if you're willing to splurge, I don't think you'll be disappointed either.

OVERNIGHT GLOW SERUM ($34 CAD)

The Overnight Glow Serum is best described as a brightening serum that exfoliates and soothes the skin while you sleep. It's formulated with 10% glycolic acid and vitamins A, C, and E, all which work together to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and fade sun spots over time. Cucumber and aloe vera extracts also work to calm the skin and provide it with soothing effects.

I personally really enjoyed using this serum. Its gel-like texture absorbed into my skin really quickly, and I liked the cooling effect that you're left with after applying it. In terms of brightening, I did notice that it lightened any dark spots on my face from breakouts within about two weeks of using it. If you're iffy with skincare but looking for a serum that will calm any irritation on your face, I'd definitely recommend the Overnight Glow Serum, since it is also suitable for all skin types.

GLOW TONIC TO-GO ($24 CAD)

The cult classic Glow Tonic, in to-go form! These are super travel friendly cotton pads that are pre-soaked in Glow Tonic. They're formulated with 5% glycolic acid, and are meant to tone, brighten, hydrate, and gently exfoliate. The Glow Tonic is also alcohol free, so you don't have to worry about drying out your skin.

Having never tried Glow Tonic myself before the to-go pads, I found myself consistently reaching for these every night in my skincare routine. They do everything that Pixi claims, so I can definitely see why these are a cult classic. In terms of these pads though, I always like having toners in pad-form because they are great for travel and are so easy for transport.

Have you tried any of these products from Pixi Beauty? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments down below :)
