DEEP DETOX: FACE MASKS FOR MIDTERM SEASON

Today I'm featuring three of my favourite detox masks, in honour of "midterm" period... We all understand the stress at this time of the year. As a result of the many exams, papers, and assignments I have to accomplish, my skin has been breaking out more than I feel comfortable with. These are the face masks I tend to grab the most when my skin needs a DEEP clean.

Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Mask from Freeman Beauty
I've used this mask quite a bit but I still have so much left! For less than five dollars a tube, this stuff is super economical and works amazingly. The dead sea minerals and and sea salts help to replenish and balance the skin while unclogging all of the pores. After a nice clean face, I apply a thin layer of this mask and wait until it completely dries out and then I'll rinse my face with warm water. You can purchase this mask at your local drugstore or on the Freeman website.

Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask from Formula 10.0.6
This is a super-cleansing face mask that uses orange, bergamot, and seat salt to remove impurities. For bad skin days when I want a detox but don't want to completely dry out my skin, I tend to reach for this mask as I find it cleanses very well, but the orange in it keeps the skin hydrated and bright. You can check this mask out here.

Blue Corn 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Mask from The Body Shop
This mask is probably the most expensive of the three I've decided to feature, but it is worth every nickel! It works the same way as other detox masks, with kaolin clay to draw out impurities. Blue corn powder provides intense exfoliant power and your face will feel so refreshed and polished after using this mask. I would however, not recommend this mask for people who have not used strong masks before; it is quite intense and although the tingly feeling of skin being cleaned out is nice, it might be too much for some people. You can check out this mask here.

So those are my three face mask recommendations for dealing with stressed out skin. As I'm also a student, I understand budgeting can be quite stressful at times, but these masks work great and are quite affordable. The mask from The Body Shop ranges for $19 CAD but they always have fantastic offers in which you can mix and match for a better deal.

Have you tried any of these masks? What did you think? What are some of your favourite detox masks?

Cheers!
Nancy
