7 BOOKS TO GIFT HOLIDAY SEASON + THE PERFECT READING SWEATER

Something you may or may not know about me is that I am a huuuuuuuuge bookworm. I love to read, and I'll read just about anything. I've wanted to create a book gift guide for many years now, but I never have enough time around the holiday season to actually plan it out. So this year, I picked out some of my favourite books that I think would be perfect to gift to the bookworm in your life. A lot of these picks are arguably "girlier" picks but really, anyone can read them. Another common theme among these books is that they are very "pretty" books, as you've most likely have seen them on social media, and while they have gorgeous covers, they also have amazing content.

Before we get into the books, I have a bonus gift item I wanted to mention. In this post, I'm wearing The Chills Off Shoulder Sweater from Tobi. It's the perfect cute and cozy sweater to wear when you want to cuddle up with a cup of tea and a good book. It's a relaxed, oversized fit that comes in four different colours - although I am quite a fan of the Rose shade.

THE BOOKS

When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman | I love a good fiction novel, and this story follows a woman named Elly from childhood to her adult life, and the relationships with the people who surround her. I don't want to give too much of the plot away, but I can say that it is just a beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking book about life and the different things that can happen in a person's life and how ultimately, love brings us all together.

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso | If you're a fashion lover, you've definitely seen this book floating around. This is a part-business, part-autobiography, and if you've ever wondered about how Sophia Amoruso started Nasty Gal, this book is truly an eye opener. I think this book is perfect for the fashionista or small business owner in your life!

Just One Day & Just One Year by Gayle Forman | Two more works of fiction that I'm sure any book lover will enjoy. These are companions to each other, both taking place over the course of a year, told in the point of view of the female character, Allyson, and the male character, William. You get to visit the characters on the day that they meet and the events that follow, and then go on a journey with them throughout the course of a year where their lives change completely because of that one day.

Note to Self by Connor Franta | For those who are into photography and poetry, this really pretty book would definitely be welcomed. This book is entirely written by the Youtuber, with beautiful pages of his personal photography. It's a great coffee table book, but also good to have because you'll never know what poem or photograph you'll open to.

Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur | Ahh, the famous Milk & Honey. I don't think I have to say much about this book, but I think if someone you know doesn't already own this book, you have to get them a copy for Christmas. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll feel nostalgia; you'll basically feel all the feels. Ditto goes for her second published work down below.

The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur | See above ;)

If you're still shopping for Christmas presents, hopefully this list will help you out! Your Christmas gift to the bookworm in your life would be complete with any one of these books and the off shoulder sweater from Tobi!

Happy Holidays!
