MY WORKOUT ROUTINE & PLAYLIST

As I've gotten older, I've learned that it's very important to keep your health in check, and develop good habits while you're still young so that you have an easier time carrying those habits into the future. After a stint of eating poutine 24/7 and not working out in my first semester of university, I decided to change my habits and I'm so happy I've carried them through four and a half years later.

While I certainly don't have a set routine for working out, I try to work out at least three times a week, and eat well balanced, nutritional meals. Some days I'll find make my own playlist of Blogilates pilates videos, but most days my set routine will consist of squats, ab work, and shoulder/arm workouts. I love pilates moves, because they help to build lean muscle and require generally no equipment, although one day I would love to start a gym membership to use actual equipment.

MY REGULAR EVERY DAY WORKOUT

SQUATS X2
50 Sumo Squats, 50 Regular Squats, 50 Close Knee Squats

ABS X2
50 Crunches, 50 Reverse Crunches, 30 Star Crunches, 20 Lower Ab/Leg Lifts, 50 Oblique Lifts (left & right)

ARMS X2
50 Shoulder Presses, 50 Upper Back Presses, 40 Arm Circles, 40 Large Arm Circles

These are all moves I've learned from Blogilates and other workout videos, and I definitely mix it up every now and then with different moves and exercises, but my general rule is work the arms, the core, and butt ;)

In the summer time I like to go for runs in the city, and I always have an upbeat, energetic playlist to listen to as I run. Even though it's currently winter, this is the playlist I would currently be playing if I was going for a run.
